Chris Everett - Background

Since first conducting market research as an MBA graduate assistant (1974), Chris Everett has continually pursued knowledge and experience in the disparate dimensions of the research community.

Before starting The Kensington Group (TKG), Chris spent sixteen years serving the Fortune 500 research community at Walker Research, now Walker Information. Starting immediately after graduate school, he played an important role in the growth and development of Walker, especially with consumer packaged goods companies located throughout the Midwest and West. This work led to an integral role in the development of the measurement models and techniques Walker used to evaluate relationships between customers and the companies who serve them. Chris's involvement included close consultation with a variety of large service and product companies throughout the United States and Canada. Chris has been an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) since college and currently is an Executive Member with the Association. For six years, he sat on the AMA National Marketing Research Council and served as Council President in 2005 and 2006. In addition, he has been a faculty member at the AMA Applied Research Methods Conference for more than ten years teaching qualitative research.

In addition, Chris has served as an adjunct member of the Marian University (Indianapolis) faculty where he has taught Strategic Marketing, Marketing Research, and Promotion. He also has served as a member of the MARCOM Committee for more than six years.

In conjunction with Pat Bassett (President of the National Association of Independent Schools), Chris developed the School Community Survey for the Independent School Association of the Central States (ISACS). This survey, the largest of its kind, has tracked the performance of more than 325 schools since (1994). This program is supported by a series of research workshops that Chris conducts for schools twice each year.

Chris Everett holds an MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Accounting from California State University - Fullerton, and a BA in Business Administration from Marian University in Indianapolis. In addition, he holds an Expert Level Professional Researcher Certification from the Marketing Research Association.
